Ang VUL ay napakamahal, halos kalahati ang napupunta sa Fees, hindi lahat ng tao ay kailangan ng permanent life insurance, pwedeng lumubo ang cost of insurance anytime at maubos lang ang cash value ninyo. So ang tanong is VUL a scam. Sa tingin ko scam ang VUL kung sinasabi ng Financial Advisor na investment eto, maghanap kayo ng ibang FA. Pero kung sasabihin nila sa inyo ang Pros and Cons at big picture then it means they are ethical at make your informed decision based on that. For me, mas maganda na ang VUL kaysa no insurance at all. May mga tao rin na bagay ang VUL, example ay ang mga may dependent for life, gaya ng children with Special needs. May mga tao din na gusto ng VUL dahil sa mga add ons at riders, pero what you can do is to ask your FA kung pwedeng ung rider ay bilhin nio separately. Sa majority ng mga tao, kailangan lang nila ng TERM life insurance for 20- 30 years, its cheap its simple, alam nio kung magkano ang babayaran nio for the next 30 years. Ang math ay walang agenda and it doesn’t lie, the best way to build wealth ay get a term life insurance policy at invest the difference sa isang low-cost index fund. Again this is not hate against Financial Advisors, I have a lot of friends and family na FA. Consider this a tool to better inform your clients. Ang trabaho nio is to advise them on what products are the best for them.
